Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) occupies a unique position amongst universities and institutions of higher learning in the country. AMU draws students from all corners of the country as well as foreign countries, especially Africa, West Asia and Southeast Asia. The University has laboratories equipped with modern and sophisticated instruments to encourage quality research.
The 11th International and 51st National Conference on Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power will be held at the Aligarh Muslim University, Uttar Pradesh, India. This conference is organized every year since 1969 at different venues in India with the guidance of National Society of Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power (NSFMFP).
The Department of Mechanical Engineering is one of the oldest and biggest departments in the University with student strength of about 600. It offers degrees related to Ph.D., M. Tech.(Machine Design, Thermal Engineering, Industrial & Production Engg., Robotics and Automation), B.Tech. (Mechanical & Automobile (EV)) & B.E. (Evening) programs.
